A walk through Times Square

So today I went to the new Forever 21 on 42nd with my buddy Darien, and MY GOODNESS it is glorious. It has four (huge) floors and such amazing displays! The mannequins are so well styled and the props were very vintage looking (they had old clocks, cameras, worn looking books, luggage adorned with stickers, and so much more). I'm actually really upset I didn't take any pictures of it! There was such a huge selection also. I went into the dressing room with 9 items, and that's after I narrowed it down from 14. I was running a bit low on cash so I ended up just buying an adorable black floral romper with a ruffled collar, a simple black skirt and some shades. It all came out to about $35, so I'd say my money was well spent.

After we finished shopping, Darien took a few photos of me in the middle of Times Square and then at Bryant Park.

                                                              What I'm wearing:
                                                Skirt-Brooklyn Industries, $29.99
                                                Shirt- my mom's
Sneakers- Converse bought at Century 21, $29
                                                Bag- H&M, $2.50

While eating in the park, I heard an older woman's voice over a microphone and thought "she has such an adorable grandma voice!" Other than that one moment though, I really hadn't paid much attention.  Then maybe 15 minutes or so later I heard that voice say, "...then when the woman orgasms..." I looked over and immediately realized it was Dr. Ruth! Everyone's favorite elderly sex therapist! I got really excited and took a few pictures of her.

My First Post

Bonjour everyone! Don't worry, that is the extent of my French, so don't intimidated by blog's title, I had to use Google translate for that haha.

Anyway, it has taken me a while to start this blog and I'm so glad it's finally happening! I debated whether I should begin by diving right into it and posting an outfit, or if I should take the time to write up a more formal introduction. As you can see, I decided on the latter. So I'll just talk a bit about my style and some of my plans for this blog.

I'm a 17 year old high school graduate whose name is Kim. My style can be a bit erratic at times, but ultimitely, my staples are pretty florals, lace, flirty dresses, skirts and rompers.  I love 50s inspired clothing and try to get my hands on as much of it as possible. Dr.Martens are probably my #1 shoe obsession; I'm known for prancing around the halls of my school in my baby pink Dr. Martens.  Unfortunately, they are pricey, so I only own one pair...but they are my loves!

I'm a HUGE bargain hunter, and bluntly cheap as hell. I practically live in the sales racks and love thrift stores. You can definitely expect me to blog about some of my favorite bargains and places to find great affordable clothes. That's probably one of the things I'm most excited about; I love people's reactions when they find out where I bought my clothes and how much I paid for them. It's even better seeing their excitement when they run over to me with their newly purchased clothes thanking me!

Thanks for reading and I hope you stick around :)
