Central Perk

I've been really terrible with this blog. I've just been going through a few things and I've been incredibly busy (started college about a month ago!), but I'm back now!
I go to school in the upper east side, so I'm a few short blocks from Central Park. I've wanted to do a photo shoot there for a while and I finally took advantage of the great weather! My friend Nicole and I took a stroll through the park and stopped to take some pictures by the bridge. I'm usualy extremely awkward and uncomfortable with public shoots, but despite the stares every so often, I actually had a lot of fun. On the way we saw three little girls on a photo shoot of their own and they were too adorable in their pink tutu dresses not to take a few pictures!

No Standing

Hello! This is will be a short one, mostly pictures. This is what I wore for my first day of college. For the first time I in years, I didn't have my outfit planned for the first day at least a week before classes began. This time, I went crazy the night before trying to decide what to wear. I usually like wearing something new on first days, but this outfit is just a mixture of pieces from past outfits I've worn.
These pictures were not taking on the first day though, I didn't have my camera. Instead I wore the outfit again to a concert I went to today (Darren Criss) and my friend took a few pictures on the street outside a police department (hence the title "no standing").

haha, I couldn't resist posting this one with Darren Criss ;D

What I wore:
Dress-by Tramp; Century 21 $21
Vest- JCPenny Decree, $20
Bag- Urban Outfitters, on sale for $19.99
Sneakers- Converse, $29.99
Belt- thrift, $1.96
Necklace-Forever 21, $5.80

Goodwill Hunting

I've been waiting to do some good thrift shopping for a while and Goodwill definitely made it worth the wait. There were so many great pieces! At one point I just started throwing anything I  liked in my cart and crossed my fingers that it fit. Goodwill is one of my favorite places because it's ALWAYS cheap, no matter what. Twenty-five dollars for a dress at Buffalo Exchange? No thanks, I'll pass. I'd rather buy and great one for $5.95 at the Goodwill.  It's just the greatest feeling to know that you've bought something truly unique for a price that's so good it should be illegal (but not really, because we like those prices),
I included a few pictures of things I liked, but didn't buy because they either didn't fit, or just weren't flattering to my height/shape.

What I liked but didn't buy

What I bought

This one lokos kind of weird in the photo but it's actually a really
cute sunflower crop top with frills at the sleeve and bottom.

The sweater, bag and belt have become instant favorites of mine. I haven't worn the romper (I'm going to turn it into a dress!) or the top. I hope to soon though!

These prices are estimated, because I don't remember...

Sweater-$5
Romper-$8
     Top- $5
   Bag-  $2.95
Belt (worn with romper in photo)- $1.95

Wouldn't It Be Nice

Wouldn't it be nice if bathing suits were made like they were in the 40s/50s?  I think so.

There are a ton more so go check them out! They're all really beautiful

Floral Fiend

I thought I'd make a post about my #1 obsession: florals. You know how some people say they have too much of one color in their closet? Like black, blue or pink? Well, my problem is like that, but with florals instead of a color. I love them too much to care though, so I just keep buying anything floral!
Here are a few collections, celebrities, and clothes that are all fabulously floral.

A few of my rompers
My go-to dress. I wear it entirely too often, but oh well.
I just got this one, I'm in love!
